As part of EXPO EURASIA KYRGYZSTAN 2026 and the Bishkek Business Forum, one of the key events took place — the international conference “Energy Dialogue: Russia – Kyrgyzstan.”

The conference was organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Committee on Energy Strategy and Fuel and Energy Complex Development, the Association of Innovative Energy Enterprises “EnergoInnovatsiya,” the Russian Gas Society, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Zarubezh-Expo JSC.

The first session focused on the role of hydrocarbons in today's energy landscape, including natural gas in energy cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as well as new approaches and technologies in the oil and gas industry.

The session was moderated on the Russian side by Nikolay Isakov, Vice President and Executive Director of the Russian Gas Society.

The second session, dedicated to renewable energy as an area of strategic cooperation, was moderated by Mikhail Smirnov, President of the EnergoInnovatsiya Association and Doctor of Political Science.

Discussions covered strategic priorities in Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation, nuclear technologies, hydropower, solar and wind energy, hydrogen projects, and new power generation technologies.

�� One of the key outcomes of the conference was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the organizations. The agreement was signed by Mikhail Smirnov and Kunduz Bergenshaevna Kyrbasheva, Chairwoman of the Committee on Energy and Renewable Energy Sources under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The dialogue continues — now moving forward through concrete joint projects.
